ensemble initié en 2025 qui évoque, par le jeu des
matières et des lignes, les mouvements intérieurs qui
façonnent notre expérience humaine : naissance,
rencontre, élan, déviation, rupture, rebond, deuil...

En janvier 2024, un collectionneur anglais d’origine
palestinienne sollicite Marie Guerrier pour un projet
singulier et intime : la réalisation d’une sculpture à partir d’une vieille clé, celle de sa maison familiale
située à Jaffa, en Palestine, que ses parents ont été contraints d’abandonner au début de la guerre.
L’œuvre produite devait témoigner de cette histoire, évoquer la lutte, la perte et le désespoir, tout en
intégrant la clé sans jamais la sceller. Cet objet de mémoire devait rester accessible afin de pouvoir, un
jour peut-être, rouvrir la porte de cette maison si elle
existait encore.

					
Pour reépondre à cette commande, Marie choisi des matériaux bruts volontairement éprouvés par le temps et la force humaine : béton ébréché, acier
recyclé, bois brûlé. Très tôt elle nourrit le désir
d’incorporer dans le béton, du sable provenant
directement de Palestine. Après une quête périlleuse
et presque romanesque, un petit sachet de sable de la plage de Gaza parvient à être ramené
clandestinement en France en juin 2025, via une
action humanitaire non officielle. Il est intégré à
l’œuvre, dont la production s’achève en septembre
2025.

“La collection Talismans est la première collection de sculptures à porter réalisée en duo par les deux artistes. Elle évoque un voyage dans l’espace-temps. Comme si chaque pièce la composant n’avait pas d’âge et dont les origines pouvaient aussi bien remonter à une civilisation oubliée qu’appartenir à une autre galaxie. Chacune est à la fois un vaisseau, un monde, un objet rituel, une protection, support d’imaginaire.”

2019

L’Hôtel Sainte Victoire à Vauvenargues ouvre ses portes avec une identité artistique marquée et singulière. Les estampes grand format de Marie Guerrier arborent les murs des différents espaces intérieurs, les sculptures monumentales de son père Francis s’élancent sur le parvis et dans l’escalier principal tandis que le geste calligraphique de Nicolas Ouchenir signe l’identité visuelle du lieu.

Alors qu’ils ne sont encore jamais rencontrés, Marie et Nicolas sont invités à collaborer sur une nouvelle commande : une&#38;nbsp;création à quatre mains mêlant la&#38;nbsp;sculpture à&#38;nbsp;la calligraphie. Une&#38;nbsp;œuvre de&#38;nbsp;grande envergure qui prendrait place dans le&#38;nbsp;hall, interpellant les visiteurs dès leur entrée sur les lieux. Les artistes découvrent alors leur travail respectif et sont mutuellement séduits. C’est le début d’un projet qui, plus qu’une collaboration artistique, devient le fruit d’une rencontre humaine inattendue.


2023

Quatre ans s’écoulent, durant lesquelles Marie et Nicolas partagent au travers de moments de&#38;nbsp;vie et d’amitié, leur vision du&#38;nbsp;monde et&#38;nbsp;de l’art, mais aussi leur spiritualité et leur fascination réciproques pour&#38;nbsp;les&#38;nbsp;minéraux, les&#38;nbsp;étoiles et le ciel. Le&#38;nbsp;choix&#38;nbsp;des Métamorphoses d’Ovide est univoque, leur sculpture racontera l’univers, la naissance du Monde et la place de chacun (éléments et&#38;nbsp;êtres vivants) dans celui-ci. Elle&#38;nbsp;se lira du&#38;nbsp;sol au plafond, en découpe sur un&#38;nbsp;assemblage de&#38;nbsp;disques à l’image d’un système planétaire. Elle&#38;nbsp;jouera de la lumière et sera capable d’être mise en mouvement d’un&#38;nbsp;simple geste de la main, comme on tournerait les pages d’un livre.

Les Astres Liés est la première œuvre cinétique de Marie Guerrier et la première création sculpturale de Nicolas Ouchenir. Elle&#38;nbsp;est inaugurée à&#38;nbsp;Vauvenargues le 12 octobre 2023.

Cette série a été réalisée lors de mon séjour à Cova do Vapor (Caparica, Portugal) à l'occasion de la résidence artistique HOMA menée durant l'été 2023. Dans ce cadre, j'ai choisi de découvrir le procédé photographique ancien du cyanotype et de développer un projet autour du monde minéral.Pour commencé, j'ai utilisé ma collection d'agates (un type de calcédoine présentée sous forme de lamelle). En les posant sur du papier enduit de cyanotype puis en les exposant au soleil, j'ai joué avec les variations de transparence et d'opacité de leur matière pour imprimer en lumière, leur silhouette sur le papier. J'ai ainsi créer un échantillonage imagé à échelle de chacune d'elles, comme une photo d'identité monochrome bleu de prusse. À partir de photographies macros de ces mêmes pierres, imprimés de manière agrandie en négatif sur du film transparent, j'ai ensuite développé mes propres tirages photographiques sur des plus grands formats. Les agates démesurées apparaissent alors commes des îles au milieu de grandes étendues d'eau. Elles révèlent les détails graphiques de mondes miniatures impercéptibles à l'oeil nu.


Enfin, ces recherches techniques m'ont menée à travailler avec la matière minérale présente dans mon environnement et à créer la série des Sédiments.

Dans le cadre de la résidence&#38;nbsp;HOMA à Cova do Vapor (Caparica, Portugal, été 2023), j'ai choisi de découvrir le

d'impressions avec les matières minérales présentes dans mon environnement. Les&#38;nbsp;Sédiments sont des débris de mer :
morceaux de coquillage, grains de sable et couteaux, ramassés lors de mes
ballades sur la plage de Cova. Par des compositions structurées ou chaotiques,
j’ai gardé sur le papier l’empreinte de leur silhouette, la trace de leur
matière diaphane.
